Places up for grabs, warns Laszlo

Ambitious manager Csaba Laszlo has reiterated his warning that places are up for grabs at Hearts next season.

Laszlo has begun the first phase of his overhaul by signing Spanish winger Suso Santana, while a deal to bring Ian Black from Inverness is in place and 23-year-old attacking German midfielder Tibor Heber has arrived to train with the club on a short-term basis from Bundesliga 2 side Alemannia Aachen.

Hearts finished a creditable third in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League last season but Laszlo has no intention of taking a step back and resting on his laurels.

"Next season will be a new team and new chances for everybody," Laszlo told Hearts News.

"At this moment everybody gets their chance and if they use it, they keep their place in the team.

"That is how football works. You give someone the opportunity and it is up to them to take it. Then we go from there."
