Macedonia international striker Ilco Naumoski claims Hearts have made an approach to sign him this summer.

The 25-year-old, who currently plays for SV Mattersburg in Austria, has been linked with Championship clubs Middlesbrough and Reading but Hearts look to be leading the race for his signature.

Naumoski, who scored in his country's 1-0 win over Scotland in their World Cup qualifier, has stated that he expects to make a decision on his future later this week.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Naumoski revealed: "There are good opportunities in Scotland and England.

"I believe Hearts are one of the three that have brought an offer to the table but I don't want to go into detail at this stage."

On the prospect of join Hearts, he added: "I know Csaba Laszlo was the manager of the year in Scotland last season and my advisor speaks very highly about him."
