Hearts boss Jim Jefferies says winger Andrew Driver could be fit to start against local rivals Hibs on Saturday.

The England under-21 international has been back in full training following his knee injury and will be given a run out in a planned training game against Kilmarnock on Tuesday.

If he comes through that without any problems, Driver could earn a shock start in the Edinburgh derby this weekend.

"We have a bounce game tomorrow against Kilmarnock and we're hoping to give some of the guys a run out," Jefferies said on the club's website.

"I hope to give Andrew Driver 20-25 minutes or so and we'll see how he goes. He has been training without any reaction and if he is okay, then he'll be in my thoughts.

"I certainly haven't ruled him out of possibly starting against Hibs. It's a big game for us as regards the top six and one we all want to win."
