Youngster could get Hearts chance

HeartsCsaba Laszlo admits he has been watching the progress of Calum Elliot at Livingston and says the youngster could be given a chance.

Elliot has seven goals in seven league outings whilst on loan at Livingston, something which has caught the eye of the Jambos boss whose own side is struggling in front of goal.

The 21-year-old frontman is out on loan until the end of the year but Laszlo has indicated that he may get a chance in the Hearts first team when he returns to Tynecastle in January.

The Hearts boss told the Scotsman: "I saw him two weeks ago, in every game he has scored goals.

"I think Elliot is a promising player so we gave him the chance to play football by going on loan. We have our eye on him, definitely, because he is scoring goals. We don't forget our young players."

Laszlo added: "At the moment, when we have a lot of problems with scoring, we need to be in the market and looking for people. However, it is very important not to forget what you have."
