Irish Turf Club medical officer Dr Walter Halley says the extent of Kieren Fallon's injuries are being examined further.
Fallon sustained his injuries when coming off Derby runner-up Eagle Mountain in the Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp on Saturday.
Despite being taken from the course on a stretcher and wearing a neck brace, the initial prognosis was that he did not require a trip to hospital and would be able to take his ride on Peeping Fawn in the Darley Irish Oaks on Sunday.
However, trainer Aidan O'Brien revealed the following day that Fallon was suffering from severe bruising and stomach cramps and therefore Johnny Murtagh would partner Peeping Fawn.
Fallon is now having further tests to determine the full extent of his injuries with Halley confirming: "I spoke to Kieren. He went to Dublin to be fully investigated by a top consultant and to have scans and x-rays, and it won't be until we get the results and we have a full report from the consultant that will know the full story."
