Micky Fenton will miss Saturday's Blue Square Nassau Stakes on board Speciosa after he lost his appeal against a six-day ban.

The British Horseracing Authority disciplinary panel dismissed the case made by the rider after hearing evidence from Fenton and viewing recordings of the race.

Fenton was banned after being found guilty of careless riding aboard Boppys Dancer at Musselburgh on July 24.

The panel upheld the decision and the jockey will be sidelined from August 4-9 inclusive, with Jamie Spencer now booked to take the ride on last year's 1000 Guineas winner.
