Israel's leading racehorse, three-year-old filly Vanilla Bally, is on her way to attempt to be the first Israeli winner in Britain.
Trained alone by Oren Sada from the back yard of his home in Ramle, 'Vanilla' has proved virtually unbeatable in Israel's low grade races and is now being given the chance to prove that she can compete at a higher level.
The daughter of Supreme Commander, out of Israel's leading broodmare Rozalyn Bally, has attracted much local media interest and seems certain to arouse the curiosity of the British media, many of whom are unaware there is organized racing in Israel.
Vanilla Bally will be prepared for her races by Warwick-based handler George Baker who observed:
"Vanilla Bally is the best racehorse in Israel. She has won 7 of her 9 races, and given a beating to many rivals on seriously disadvantageous weight terms. She has a cult following in her homeland."
