Hull manager Nick Barmby is waiting on the fitness of Liam Rosenior and Aaron Mclean for the home clash with Middlesbrough.
Full-back Rosenior limped out of Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Millwall after a heavy challenge while striker Mclean sustained a knock and was replaced soon after.
Richard Garcia dropped back from the wing to fill in at full-back on Saturday, with Josh King stepping off the bench on to the wing. Robbie Brady replaced Mclean and will be hoping to return to the starting line-up.
Barmby lost skipper Jack Hobbs to a serious knee injury last week, while fellow defenders James Chester and Joe Dudgeon are both out for several weeks with respective hamstring injuries.
Midfielder Robert Koren remains sidelined after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury.
The Tigers crashed to a fifth consecutive defeat at Millwall and are six points adrift of the npower Championship play-offs.
