George Boyd says Hull cannot take their foot off the gas as they look to continue their excellent start to the season.
Boyd has managed to force his way into the side following a frustrating start to the season and he is determined to stay there and help the Tigers continue their fine start to the campaign.
Not only that, Boyd does not want Hull to be one-season wonders and is hoping they can become an established Premier League team under the leadership of Steve Bruce.
"I'm still buzzing every time we go out there, it's unbelievable," Boyd admitted. "With us doing so well, too, it's a great feeling. We want to be doing this year in and year out, we don't want this season to be a one-off.
"It's been a great start but we have to make sure we keep it up."
Boyd is now hoping he has done enough to keep his place in the side as competition will be hot when Bruce has his full squad available.
"I feel as though I've done well," he added. "Whenever it came it was always going to be a case of me taking my chance, and I feel like I've done that. Long may it continue.
"I hope I've done enough to stay in for Saturday (at Southampton). "That'll be up to the gaffer. I've just got to concentrate on doing the best I can in training."
