Brown backed for big-time

HullPhil Brown is being tipped to manage a top Premier League club during his career by Hull City chairman Paul Duffen.

The Tigers boss has seen his stock rise considerably during September after he guided the club to impressive away wins at Newcastle, Arsenal and Spurs. Brown was subsequently handed the manager of the month award as Hull currently sit third from top behind Chelsea and Liverpool.

Duffen hopes Brown will remain at the KC Stadium for a long time, but cannot help thinking he is destined for big things.

"Phil has all the tools in the box and there's no doubt in my mind that he will manage one of the big, big clubs or even the national team one day," Duffen told the Daily Star.

"But what we want to happen is for Phil to make Hull City one of the big, big clubs."
