Hull will not recall Matty Fryatt from his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday just yet, but may do so at the end of the month.
Fryatt was struggling for fitness and regular football at the KC Stadium but has been rejuvenated since joining the Owls on loan and his form has not gone unnoticed by Tigers boss Steve Bruce.
There had been suggestions he could be recalled early following the serious injury to Sone Aluko, but Tigers assistant manager Steve Agnew says that will not be the case, much to the relief of Wednesday.
"It was important that Matty went out to play some games and score goals," Agnew revealed. "He's done exactly that and it's good to see. It's never easy coming back from such a long time out.
"From our reports where we've had scouts monitoring him, he's certainly looking a lot fitter than he was. Will we consider recalling him at the end of his loan? Yes, that's a possibility. Let's just wait and see on that one.
"We extended his loan by another month so if we've committed to another month, we'll see that through and see how he goes."
