Hull City striker Gedo has thanked Egypt's coaching staff and manager Bob Bradley after their World Cup dream was ended by Ghana.
Egypt missed out on representing Africa at next year's finals in Brazil following the Pharoahs' 2-1 home win against Ghana in the World Cup playoff on Tuesday.
Gedo scored Egypt's second goal after coming on as a first-half substitute in Cairo but, despite the victory, Egypt again failed to qualify for the first time since 1990 as they lost 6-1 in the first-leg in Kumasi.
"Thanks to the crowd that supported us until the final whistle. The Kumasi game decided the qualification," the 29-year-old striker Tweeted after the game.
"All respect to Bradley and his staff."
The 55-year-old American coach, who was hired in November 2011, has now come to the end of his spell with Egypt, as his contract expired at the end of the qualifiers.
