Hull striker Jozy Altidore believes hard work is the key if the Tigers are going to stay in the Premiership.

The 20-year-old netted his first goal for the side in the win over Manchester City and has vowed there is more to come on a personal level after what has been a frustrating year since his loan move from Villarreal.

On a team level though he says hard work was the key in the win over Manchester City, Altidore told the Hull Daily Mail: "It was one of our better team performances.

"We started well and that allowed a lot of individuals to show off their skills. It gives us confidence.

"It was another hard game. I don't think either Manchester City or Chelsea were easy games but we put in 100 per cent effort.

"We wanted to attack them through the centre. Having two big guys up front, we thought we could cause them problems and we did."
