Huddlestone wants more belief

Last Updated: Mon, 11 Nov 2013 16:34

Tom Huddlestone says Hull have to start believing in themselves more away from home following the defeat at Southampton.

Hull have impressed at home since winning promotion back to the Premier League but have struggled on their travels and lost again at the weekend, going down 4-1 at Southampton.

The Tigers got off to a slow start and were 3-0 down in the opening 37 minutes, before making more of a fist of it after the break, and Huddlestone says they have to try and stamp their authority on a game.

"I think we maybe need to go into games with more of a belief to try and implement our own style on away games," he told the club's official website.

"Once we'd gone 3-0 down on Saturday, we started to play more and we were a lot more confident on the ball."
