Hull duo could miss final

Last Updated: Mon, 05 May 2014 14:18

James Chester is set to miss Hull's FA Cup final with a hamstring injury, while Sone Aluko could be unavailable with an ankle problem.

Chester was forced to leave the field just before half-time in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Aston Villa, although boss Steve Bruce refused to rule him out of the Wembley meeting with Arsenal on May 17.

However, punters using their free bet may be interested to know that Chester looks highly unlikely to feature in the showpiece match, leaving the Tigers without a key figure at the heart of defence.

Bruce said: "The earliest reports on James look as if the hamstring that he's come off with, he's re-injured it. It looks bleak for the lad.

"We can't say until we scan him and know the extent but it doesn't look very good for him."

Aluko could also be a doubt for the meeting with the Gunners after turning his ankle in training Bruce confirmed that he will definitely miss the upcoming league fixture with Manchester United.

He continued: "Sone won't be available (for Manchester United) on Tuesday, it's touch and go for the cup final I'd have thought."
