Hull are among the clubs said to be showing an interest in Sunderland midfielder David Vaughan ahead of the transfer deadline.
Vaughan has been told he is free to leave the Stadium of Light by Black Cats boss Paolo Di Canio and a fee in the region of £1million would be enough to secure his signature.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce has already added 10 new players to his squad since winning promotion to the Premier League, but he is still looking to add one or two more before the window closes.
Vaughan is an experienced Premier League campaigner and Bruce is keen to get him on board. There is strong interest from elsewhere though as Premier League rivals Crystal Palace are also said to be in the hunt.
Championship outfit Reading are also keen on the 30-year-old, with reports claiming the Royals would be able to offer him bigger wages if he was prepared to drop down a division.
