Striker ailment revealed

HullThe Jamaican FA have agreed to release Marlon King from his international call-up as a consequence of a lower back problem.

King had been called up for his country's World Cup qualifying double header against Mexico and Honduras, but City asked that he was not forced to make the trip because of a back complaint.

The Tigers striker could have aggravated the problem by making two transatlantic flights and he was unlikely to have been fit anyway.

The ex-Watford striker missed training last week with the problem and is understood to have only been able to complete 80 minutes against Spurs thanks to heavy pain-killing medication.
