Amr Zaki is pressing to start for Hull City against Man City on Saturday while Paul McShane is hoping to be passed fit.

Egypt striker Zaki has been used as a substitute in the last two matches but could get the nod if Phil Brown opts to give either Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink or Jose Altidore a rest.

The Tigers could climb out of the relegation zone with a win after picking up an unexpected point at home to league leaders Chelsea in midweek.

Defender Steven Mouyokolo scored his first goal in nine appearances in that game.

Seyi Olofinjana could return after the African Cup of Nations.
