Striker linked with Cats return

Last Updated: Fri, 15 Nov 2013 12:16

Hull's need to sign a new striker could intensify following reports Sunderland may opt to recall Danny Graham from his loan spell.

Graham has hardly been prolific and is still searching for his first Premier League goal since arriving at the KC Stadium but losing him would still be a blow for boss Steve Bruce.

Black Cats boss Gus Poyet is currently weighing up all of his options ahead of the transfer window in January and has admitted it could be easier recalling someone from a loan spell.

"If I think we need to change something, whatever it is, we need to know what it is so they can start looking for it," Poyet revealed. "If the option is bringing back someone from loan, then that is easier."

Bruce was looking for a new striker before Sone Aluko picked up a long-term injury and there is a chance he could need another one if Graham is recalled.
