Hull City are edging closer to securing the services of Besiktas goalkeeper Allan McGregor according to his agent, Dave Baldwin.
Steve Bruce has made no secret of his need for a goalkeeper as the Tigers prepare for a return to the top-flight and, after failing to snap up Kasper Schmeichel, he has turned his attention to Scotland international McGregor.
The Turkish side have accepted an offer of £1.8million for the former Rangers man and talks are currently ongoing between the player and the Yorkshire-based club.
Baldwin insists that his client is eager to complete the deal as soon as possible and although he has enjoyed his season in Turkey he is relishing the chance to experience the Premier League.
Baldwin said: "Allan is keen to play in the Premier League and is very keen to play under Steve Bruce, so now we just have to keep pushing the talks forward.
"I wouldn't say there are any major obstacles to a deal being done, but there are a few things Allan wants to make sure are right in the deal, and Hull City also have areas they want to make right for them.
"As with any deal, I can't put a timeframe on it, but we are making progress."
