Tigers eye African ace

Last Updated: Fri, 20 Dec 2013 07:23

Hull are keeping tabs on Valenciennes defender Benjamin Angoua ahead of the January transfer window opening.

Tigers boss Steve Bruce is looking to strengthen his ranks, with a new striker top of his wanted list, but he is also keen to bolster his defence for the remainder of the campaign.

Hull have been solid at the back, particularly at home, but Bruce is well aware that injuries can bite and he does not want to be left short for what is sure to be a crucial run in.

Bruce is now being linked with a move for the Ivory Coast central defender, who is keen to move on in search of more regular football ahead of the World Cup next summer.

Hull are not the only club who are interested in the 27-year-old, as Fulham are also said to be in the hunt for Angoua.
