Jack Hobbs is close to completing a move away from the KC Stadium, with the defender poised to join Nottingham Forest.
The former Leicester and Liverpool centre-back has struggled to establish himself in the Tigers first-team, after being signed by Nigel Pearson back in 2011.
He slipped behind James Chester, Abdoulaye Faye, Paul McShane and Alex Bruce in the pecking order last season and with possible further new additions this summer, looks set to be allowed to leave.
Forest boss Billy Davies is desperate to add to his defensive options and having failed with two bids to sign Leicester's Wes Morgan, looks now to have turned his attentions to Hobbs.
The Tigers are set to head to Portugal this week on a pre-season tour, but the 24-year-old will stay in the UK in order to try and finalise terms on a switch to the City Ground.
