Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate is contemplating a move for Hull striker Caleb Folan as he prepares for life in the Championship.
The Republic of Ireland striker failed to feature on a regular basis for the Tigers last season and, with the imminent new arrival of new strikers to the KC stadium, a move looks to be on the cards.
Folan started his first competitive international for Ireland in the World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria three weeks ago and will be keen to get regular football next season in order to keep his international place. And if it is not going to happen at Hull then a move to Boro looks to be on the cards.
Southgate, who is preparing for life in the Coca-Cola Championship following the club's relegation last season, is looking to re-shape his squad and is expected to be busy in the transfer market.
