Tigers track Cork star

Last Updated: Wed, 06 Aug 2014 08:29

Hull are showing an interest in Cork City defender Brian Lenihan, but will face strong competition for his services.

Tigers boss Steve Bruce has had a busy summer when drafting in a number of new signings ahead of what is sure to be a tough second season in the Premier League.

Bruce is still planning more activity, though, and, according to reports, is tracking 20-year-old Lenihan, who has attracted plenty of interest over the last 12 months.

Arsenal, Celtic, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Leeds United, Bournemouth and Huddersfield Town have all been watching the young Irish ace, who can play in defence or midfield.

David Meyler, Shane Long and Damien Delaney all graduated through the ranks at Cork, so it is easy to see why Bruce is keeping tabs on Lenihan as well.
