Hull boss Phil Brown says the draw with Chelsea marks a turning point in their battle against relegation.

Hull could consider themselves unlucky not to pick up all three points against the table toppers who were pushed all the way in the match but a point is better than nothing and Brown was happy with their efforts.

He told Sky Sports: "The Premier League is un-relentless or un-merciful, it just doesn't give you anything. You have to graft for everything.

"I thought Saturday was a big point because everyone expected us to win, nobody gave us a chance tonight.

"Consequently, we seem to put our best foot forward against the top sides and yet get nothing from the game.

"But tonight was a little bit of a turning point. We have got something from the game and deserved to get something from the game, if not three."
