Tigers wait on striker news

Last Updated: Mon, 21 Oct 2013 07:42

Hull are sweating on the fitness of striker Danny Graham after he suffered suspected knee ligament damage against Everton.

Graham had to be substituted during Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Goodison Park after being caught on the knee by Everton's Gareth Barry, and boss Steve Bruce is now anxiously waiting to discover the full extent of the damage.

Early examinations suggested no serious damage but the Tigers will not know for sure until the striker undergoes a scan.

"It's knee ligaments that we're worried about, the X-rays are clear," Bruce revealed. "He's not in too much pain which is encouraging but until we see scans we're not too sure. We'll just hope that he's okay."

Even if the injury is not serious, Graham still has to be rated as a big doubt for the game against Tottenham this weekend.
