Striker Karim Benzema will snub offers from top European clubs and spend another season at French club Lyon, according to his agent.
The 21-year-old was tracked by several clubs last season, including Manchester United and Italian champions Internazionale. However, after the player previously suggested he would be happy to remain at the Stade Gerland until summer 2010, Benzema's agent, Karim Djaziri, has now confirmed his plan to stay put.
He said: "Karim is on holiday at the moment and he is not thinking of moving.
"He wants to stay in France for another year so that he can prepare for the World Cup and I think that [United manager] Sir Alex Ferguson knows this.
"Perhaps he wants to make an offer to Lyon. If that happens, then Karim will think about it, but as things stand, Karim wants to stay with Lyon for another year."
