Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed a six-year deal with Real Madrid and his world record £80million transfer will be completed on July 1.
The 24-year-old Portugal international winger finally got the green light to make his dream move to the Spanish giants when Manchester United accepted the massive offer for his signature on June 11.
The Red Devils revealed that Ronaldo, who was on holiday in the United States at the time of the unconditional offer, had 'again expressed his desire to leave', which prompted them to accept it as long as the move was completed by June 30.
Real have now managed to tie down the former Sporting Lisbon star to a contract which will keep him at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2015.
A statement on Real's website read: "The player will be tied to Real Madrid for the next six seasons.
"He will be presented on 6 July at the Santiago Bernabeu."
Ronaldo joins Brazil playmaker Kaka, who signed earlier in the summer for a then-world record £56million from AC Milan, and £12million defensive capture Raul Albiol from Valencia at Madrid at a combined cost of £148m. However, president Florentino Perez looks like carrying on his spending spree after being linked with Liverpool's Xabi Alonso, Valencia's David Villa and Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery.
