Franck Ribery is set for talks with Bayern Munich next month in a bid to sort out his future before the World Cup in the summer.
The France playmaker has been linked with a whole host of clubs over the last year, including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea, while his current deal at the Allianz Arena runs out in 2011.
Bayern are keen to keep his services but if they cannot tie him down to an extended stay, they will listen to offers in the summer.
Ribery has admitted that he remains unsure about his future at the moment but is hoping to sort it out one way or the other when negotiations begin next month.
"I believe I will know what is going to happen in March," he told France Football. "I want to know what my future will be. I want to go to the World Cup without this issue weighing on my mind.
"The possibility of an extension at Bayern exists. I just want to play for a competitive team that will offer me the best possible opportunity to win titles.
"That could be Bayern or it could be someone else. I will be 27 in April and I am reaching an important stage of my career. I cannot afford to make a mistake."
