Italian trio link with Hammers post

Intnl FootballWest Ham are lining up an Italian to replace Alan Curbishly with Roberto Donadoni, Roberto Mancini and Gianfranco Zola on their list.

Former Italian national coach Donadoni has been out of work since guiding Italy to the quarter-finals of Euro 2008, but his agent has indicated he would like to be considered.

Mancini was sacked by Inter Milan in May despite guiding the club to its third consecutive Serie A title and he too is on the short list with former Chelsea star Zola.

They are not alone though and former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier, now technical director of France, is also under consideration and Paulo Di Canio has already made it clear he would like to be considered.

West Ham hope to have a short list of around five names to consider over the weekend as they look to replace Curbishley who walked out this week.
