Rooney raring to go

Inverness CTAdam Rooney is desperate to get the call against Celtic after the disappointment of having his goal at Dundee United chalked off.

The 20-year-old looked to have found the back of the net against the Terrors but his header was ruled offside and Caley lost the match 2-1.

But the Irishman wants to get right back to work and impress his friends, who may have a conflict of interests when they travel to see the champions play at Caledonian Stadium.

"I thought it was a bad call by the linesman and I was disappointed not to get another goal but, hopefully, now I can kick on after the international break," he said.

"I want to start every game and, hopefully, I can start against Celtic. I have a couple of friends coming over from Ireland for the game who are Celtic supporters.

"I am sure they will be supporting me. They will be sitting in the home stand so they better be supporting me and not wearing Celtic jerseys."
