United reject Caley approach

Dundee United have rejected Inverness Caley Thistle's approach to take Darren Dods back to the Caledonian Stadium.

Inverness manager Craig Brewster rang his Tangerines counterpart Craig Levein to inquire about his 33-year-old former skipper with the view to resigning him.

However, any potential move got no further than the initial phone call with Levein telling the BBC: "Craig Brewster did phone me because he saw Darren was out of the team.

"But I told him I am happy with him and, as far as I am concerned, that's that now."
