Billy Clarke looks set to sign for Town's Championship rivals Blackpool after being offered a two-year deal by Ian Holloway.

Clarke is expected to sign on Thursday after undergoing a medical the day after his Portman Road contract expires.

The Cork-born forward, 21, ended the season at Brentford where he scored six times in eight games but felt his time at Ipswich had come to an end.

He said: "Although I had a good time at Ipswich things moved on so it's all about being at Blackpool now.

"I can't wait for the season to start. I didn't think I'd be playing in the Championship so to get another chance is good."
