Luke Hyam faces a battle to be fit for Ipswich's trip to Bolton.

The midfielder came in for his first start under new boss Mick McCarthy on Tuesday night and impressed as Town claimed a 3-1 success against Nottingham Forest, bagging the second goal at Portman Road.

However, the youngster was forced off seven minutes from time nursing a knock to his calf, although McCarthy is confident he will be declared fit.

Hyam was brought in due to an injury to Nigel Reo-Coker, with the former Trotters midfielder denied a return to the Reebok Stadium because of a troublesome hamstring strain which is expected to keep him out for another couple of weeks.

But, otherwise, McCarthy, has the same squad to select from as the one which saw off Forest and moved Town out of the npower Championship's bottom three.
