Ipswich Town are set to seal a deal for QPR left-back Damien Delaney, despite interest from Championship rivals Coventry.

Coventry boss Chris Coleman was thought to be set to make the Irishman his first signing of the summer but it now looks as if Ipswich boss Roy Keane has won the race for the Republic of Ireland international.

The 27-year-old will cost the Tractor boys around £700,000 and according to the Lowestoft Journal the deal is 'as good as done'.
