Ipswich midfielder Guirane N'Daw is hoping to turn his loan spell at the club into a permanent move.

The 28-year-old, on a year-long loan deal from French club St Etienne, has made eight appearances for Ipswich this season.

"I used to watch English football on the TV when I was younger and it was always my ambition to come over here and play," he told the club's official website.

"It was an easy decision to come here to Ipswich when the opportunity came up. I want to play my football here. I think I have the physical abilities to do well in English football.

"I'm at Ipswich for the season and my first importance is to fight for the club, fight to get Ipswich up the table.

"I want to take it step by step but yes why not, if a chance came along to get a long-term contract here I would be happy. We will see."
