No Volz shock for Town

IpswichMoritz Volz is holding out for a Premiership club to come in and could even return to Germany rather than join Ipswich Town.

The German defender is looking to ply his trade in the top flight and is considering offers from French and German clubs.

Fulham accepted a bid from Ipswich last week for the former Schalke 04 and Arsenal defender, but Jim Magilton has been unable to convince him to come to Portman Road.

Volz is hoping for another Premier League club to snap him up in the eleven days left before the transfer deadline - or he will return to Germany, or go to France.

Sunderland could be the club to swoop after Volz, the former German Under-16 captain, rejected the chance to join his old boss Chris Coleman at Coventry City.
