Former Spain international midfielder Ivan Campo has been told he can leave Ipswich Town on a loan to build up his match fitness.

The 34-year-old, who joined on a free transfer earlier in the campaign following his release from Bolton, has not played for Town since the 2-2 draw against Swansea on October 18 as question marks linger over his overall sharpness.

While boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that Campo is still a big part of his plans, he is willing to listen to offers from clubs wanting his services on a loan basis before next week's deadline.

"Ivan has not played as much football as he would have liked here and if going out on loan gets him games then we would not stand in his way," he told the club's official website.

"He is still very much part of the squad here, though, and it would have to be the right club for him and us."
