Ipswich boss Roy Keane has confirmed Blackpool have had a bid accepted for Jon Stead, but a deal with the striker is yet to be agreed.

Stead spent the end of last season on loan at Coventry and is now deemed surplus to requirements at Portman Road.

Keane has now confirmed that a fee with Blackpool has been agreed, although Stead has yet to agree terms at Bloomfield Road and there are other interested parties.

"Jon Stead's been speaking to a club today, Blackpool, but there's another club interested in him as well," said Keane.

The Ipswich boss revealed it was now up to the player as to whether he makes the move to Blackpool but claimed he was not "up to date" with how far the deal had progressed.
