Stoke are reported to be weighing up a £4million move for Ipswich Town midfielder Jonathan Walters.

Potters boss Tony Pulis has been a big admirer of the player for the last couple of seasons and is already thought to have failed with one bid in the region of £3million.

Pulis is expected to go back in with another offer in the summer and Ipswich boss Roy Keane believes the player would be suited to life in the top flight.

"Jon deserves to be in the Premier League," said Keane. "He is a player of Premier League quality. He has done a terrific job for me in a difficult season. He has led by example. I've got so much time for Jon."
