Boss praises work ethic

KilmarnockBoss Jim Jefferies praised his players for the way they put his plans into action in the victory over Hearts on Saturday.

The 2-1 success was Killie's second away win of the campaign and Jefferies admitted that he was impressed with the way his charges had responded after the loss to Inverness the week before.

"The players took on board what was said to them right from the start of the game, and you could see that in their application and effort," he said.

"It was a tremendous performance, and despite the fact that we have a decent record there in recent times, they still had to go out and do the business.

"Quite a few of them hadn't done well the week before, but they certainly made up for it against Hearts with a top-class performance."
