Defender Tom Clancy is set for a first-team return at Kilmarnock after featuring for the reserves against St Mirren.
Clancy has not featured for Killie since April when he ruptured ankle ligaments in the 1-1 draw with Gretna. However he came through the second string outing with no problems and Jefferies expects him to be in first-team contention soon.
He said: "It's good to have Tim back because he can play a number of positions in the defence."
Simon Ford is also set to be fit to face Rangers following the international break having recovered from a thigh strain which forced him to miss the win over Dundee United.
