JJ delight at Killie start

KilmarnockJim Jefferies admits he is delighted with the way his side have started the season, as they approach a tough run of fixtures.

Kilmarnock are currently second in the SPL, level on points with leaders Rangers, after three wins and a draw and its just the start that the manager had hoped for.

Jefferies said: "We thought getting seven points from the opening three fixtures would be a great start for us, and that's exactly what we got."

Speaking about the win at Dundee United, he added: "We went there and did exceptionally well. We worked hard against a very decent side for we knew they would put us under a fair bit of pressure."

The real test for Killie though will come over the next few weeks, with a trip to Rangers next week followed by Celtic at home and then Inverness and Hearts, both away from Rugby Park.
