Craig Bryson believes the win over Celtic and the arrival of new manager Jimmy Calderwood will help pull the club away from trouble.
Killie pulled off a shock win at Rugby Park over the Bhoys on Robbie Keane's debut on Tuesday night and, although Falkirk upset the odds by winning at Aberdeen, Bryson believes that the confidence in the camp will see the club avoid the drop.
Calderwood's men now lie two points above Hamilton, albeit having played two games more, and the midfielder the arrival of the new boss has given the club an extra lift.
"We have to take great confidence from beating Celtic because there is no doubt they have great quality in their team," the 23-year-old midfielder said.
"It was particularly good to see Cammy Bell play so well in goal for us. He's waited so long to get his chance and now he's grabbed it with both hands.
"The arrival of Jimmy Calderwood has also given us a fresh lift.
"Our performances of late have been better than average and the manager has made three great signings in Chris Maguire, Scott Severin and Rob Kiernan.
"We have additional quality and experience."
