PSG sporting director Leonardo claims Zlatan Ibrahimovic was only sent off during their clash with Valencia because of his reputation.
The Sweden striker was dismissed following a challenge with Andres Guardado in the closing stages of their Champions League last-16 tie at the Mestalla on Tuesday.
Valencia, 2-0 down at that point, then pulled a goal back in injury time to halve the deficit going into the second leg at the Parc des Princes in three week's time.
Leonardo has since expressed his disappointment at Ibrahimovic's dismissal, which means he will now be suspended for the second leg.
"To concede a goal, that can happen due to fatigue for example," Leonardo said.
"But the red card... I think Ibrahimovic pays for his reputation. If it was another player committing this foul, he wouldn't be sent off.
"Suddenly, there is a slight bitter feeling because of it."
