Leeds striker Ross McCormack has been withdrawn from Gordon Strachan's first Scotland squad for Wednesday night's friendly against Estonia due to illness.

The 26-year-old, overlooked for the majority of previous coach Craig Levein's spell in charge, had been recalled to the senior squad for the first time since last August by Strachan, who will be overseeing his first game as national coach.

McCormack, who has scored two goals in eight appearances for his country, has pulled out of the game with Estonia at Pittodrie due to a heavy cold.
