Gary McSheffrey is expected to seal a permanent move from Birmingham to Leeds United should the Whites make it into the Championship.

The Blues midfielder, 27, has moved to the League One promotion hopefuls on loan until the rest of the season after struggling to hold down a regular slot in the Premier League this season under Alex McLeish at St Andrew's.

He made an impressive debut in Leeds' home win over Colchester last weekend and is said to be keen on a switch to Elland Road in the summer - providing Simon Grayson's side secure promotion back up to the Championship in May.
