Veteran seals Leeds deal

Leeds have made another new signing on the brink of the new season, with veteran defender Paul Telfer signing for the Whites.

The ex-Celtic man is a former team-mate of Gary McAllister, with the pair playing together during their time at Coventry, and has been seeking a new club as a free agent.

Telfer has impressed the Whites boss during a short trial spell and moves to Elland Road on a non-contract basis and adds a bit of experience to the squad.

The 36-year-old, who won one cap for Scotland and played for Bournemouth last season, will go straight into the squad for the trip to Scunthorpe.
