Defender closing in on return

LeicesterLeicester City star Patrick Kisnorbo is closing in on a first team return at the club after being out injured since April.

The 27-year-old Australian defender has been out with a cruciate knee injury since the end of last season but is now closing in on a return and can not wait to get back into the thick of things.

On Tuesday, he scored for the reserves draw with Aston Villa side and, at last, can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

He told the Mercury: "This injury and relegation together formed the worst part of my career, both mentally and physically. But it has also made me stronger and I am delighted to be playing again."
