Leicester are hoping for international clearance to come through so that Nolberto Solano can make his debut against Newcastle.
Foxes boss Nigel Pearson is hoping Solano can play against his former club at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday evening.
Elsewhere in the side and veteran Chris Powell is set to continue at the back after making his first appearance of the season in the mid-week defeat at Barnsley in place on the injured Bruno Berner.
